Guacamole

Making guacamole dip |
(1)Chop finely and put it in a fine mesh strainer.
Rinse onion under running water and soak in water for 5
minutes. Press onion in the strainer to get rid of water as much
as you can. |

1/2 red or whilte onion

| (2)Cut in half. Remove seeds. Scoop the meat with spoon.
Put it in a bowl and mash until it becomes puree. |

2 ripe avocados
|
(3)Chop finely and add to the avocados(2). |

1 serrano chiles, stems and seeds removed
2 tablespoons cilantro leaves
1/2 tomato
1 clove garlic
squeezed chopped onion

| (4)Add to the avocado and mix: |

1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon of freshly grated black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt or to your taste
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/8 teaspoon cumin powder

| (3)Garnish with chili powder. Serve with tortilla chips. |
